BLOGGING MERITA: My First Tattoo
Today I got my first tattoo… and I got it in honor of Michael Jackson on his 54th birthday.
I decided on a Michael tattoo a few years ago, but decided to wait to see if it’s something I wanted still in a year. I waited and I’m glad I did.. because… originally I was going to get the HIStory logo… but 3 or 4 months ago I decided on this… the word LOVE… in Michael’s own handwriting. LOVE what he felt towards us… LOVE what we feel towards him… LOVE the part of Michael that will live on forever.
In keeping with the theme of LOVE.. I chose to get it on my left wrist over the vein that leads right to my heart… The vein of LOVE.
I’m so happy with my tattoo choice, and I just wanted to share it with all of you :)
Peace, LOVE & Oatmeal
Happy Birthday Michael.
November 15th 2006.
The media reported that Michael was useless, they said he couldn’t hit one note and he was booed off stage.
I knew the media could twist the truth but until you actually witness something and see how they print the exact opposite of what was you don’t realize how bad they can be. NO ONE booed him, I was at the front of the catwalk. People were chanting his name ALL NIGHT, and stomping their feet. There was one set of boo’s and that was when the lights dimmed after his speech and the voice over teased people and introduced Rihanna. Unfortunately for Rihanna, the crowd wanted Michael.
When Michael finally came out it was like a stampede, people went wild, the place was electric, filled with Love… remember this was just a year and a bit after the trial so his fans were so desperate to show him he was still loved. I remember a boy said to me this place is wild, if the media don’t report on how amazingly hyped and in love with Michael the audience are… then we know how much they lie.
And low and behold, they said he was booed.
“I felt with Michael that I was given a gift to experience him move.He had a naturalness in his body that gave him a feeling that when he moved, it seemed so easy—it was so electric and wild.” Bruce Weber
Weber remembers his last phone call with Jackson: “He called me up late at night and asked if he looked “perfect” in his pictures. I asked him if he would do me a favor. He laughed, ‘Of course.’ ‘Well,’ I said. ‘I’ll give you some of these photographs if you promise me one thing—that you’ll really believe you’re beautiful.’ He was silent for a minute and then whispered, ‘OK!’”
Wait, that’s her!?
Hahaha. I love how she still gets excited about it.
Yeah, she totally looks like she didn’t give two fucks about anything. She just ran up there!
Neither laugh-out-loud-worthy or that innovative, but yes there is some biology at play. Here is some information on his medical issue that caused his skin color— not his race— to change. Astute powers of observation on the death part though.
